December 2025

Friday - Sunday, December 5-7

Annual Holiday Trip – This year's trip will be to Carlsbad, NM.  This Will include a variety of activities (including a couple meals) and the monthly meeting.  Specific activities and times are to be determined.
  • If you want to Join the club for our weekend, please call The Best Western Plus hotel, to make your reservations, for Friday, Dec. 5th and Sat. Dec. 6th!  Hotel #1-575-200-3100.  There is a meeting room reserved for the club's use on Friday and Saturday.
  •  We have received 20% off the going rate.   If you want a king, it should be $136. . . . and two queens should be $150.  You probably can negotiate some other bed options if you so desire.  Just tell them you are with the Alfa Romeo Car club and want the rooms for December the 5th and 6th.
  • Typically, after arrival, members gather in the meeting room for fun and dinner. Members bring snacks as well as sides for dinner, which is pizza which we order and bring in.
  • A river boat tour, "Christmas on the Pecos" is being explored for Saturday evening.  We will need to bring warm clothes, hats, gloves, and our own blankets, as it gets chilly on the water.
  • Several folks are interested in touring Carlsbad Caverns during the day on Saturday.  Timed entry tickets are required to enter the Cavern (9:30-2:15 PM), and reservations one month in advance are recommended through recreation.gov.  Visitors should bring their Golden Age (age 62+) National Park Pass or pay an entrance fee.
  • Sunday activity: It has been suggested that we visit the Living Desert before returning home.
